We are Peng

Two friends from the sunny city of Almere who’ve been casually sharing joints for about ten years now.

As we got older, we noticed that cannabis culture in the Netherlands kind of got stuck in time. It’s still often associated with outdated street vibes that we don’t really identify with anymore.

Which we think is a shame.

What started as a few packs for ourselves quickly grew into something bigger.

These days, we try to help others roll out their own style with our white label edition: Peng Custom.

In the meantime, we’re quietly working on our B2B line, Peng Genesis — but we’ll tell you more about that later.

Our logo is a stylised piece of the oldest known symbol for cannabis (⿇), dating back to 2700 BC. Look closely, and you might spot a little weed plant in there.

Peng

Peng is a legendary creature from Chinese mythology. It represents transformation and rising to new heights. But in everyday Dutch slang? It just means “stoned” or “high”.

Peng Hempire launched in June 2024 and the website went live in August, but we’ve got enough ideas for a lifetime of rolling forward.
